Osmo Teak Oil Spray protects, maintains and improves the appearance of garden furniture made of Teak and other hardwoods, in covered exterior areas. It is also well suited to the clear finishing of garden furniture and similarly used surfaces. It is also suitable for use on Garapa, Meranti, Koto, Bangkirai, Massaranduba and Iroko, as well as other exotic hardwoods. It can also be used on pressure impregnated wood like Pine.
Osmo Teak Oil Spray penetrates deeply into the wood surfaces, regulates moisture and prevents swelling and shrinkage.
Please Note: This product is only suitable for bare wood or previously oiled garden furniture and decking.
Wood to be treated must be clean, dry and frost-free (maximum moisture content 20%).
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
Please note: Application cloths or rags should be soaked in water and stored in an air tight container immediately after use to prevent spontaneous combustion. Oily cloths should never be thrown straight into the bin.
This product is clear and does not contain any UV filters so the wood will turn grey / silver over time. If the original colour tone of freshly sawn wood should be kept (e.g. Bangkirai), we recommend applying a coat of Osmo Decking Oil in a natural shade or Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain in an appropriate colour tone.
Wooden surfaces treated with Osmo Teak Oil Spray should require little aftercare.
Brush over wooden surface with a medium bristle bush to remove surface dirt and debris. A damp, lint-free cloth can also be used to wipe off liquid and food spillages.
For stubborn marks, stains, mould and algae, we recommend cleaning with Osmo Decking Cleaner (8025) for oiled surfaces. For wood that has turned grey through sun and water damage, restoring the colour is recommended first, with Osmo Wood Reviver Gel (6609) before re-oiling.
For areas that have become badly discoloured, scuffed or scratched, use a light abrasive to rub back the affected area before re-applying a small amount of Teak Oil Spray to the damaged areas for a seamless repair.
Q: Is this the best teak oil spray for garden furniture?
A: Osmo spray is ideal for garden furniture for a number of reasons. Compared to other teak oils that require brush application, this product comes in a handy spray can for simple spray application. This makes it perfect for quick patch repairs which could otherwise prove more time consuming.
