Delivery of your goods is of utmost importance to us. Because of this, we work incredibly hard to ensure that all aspects of our delivery process are as slick and pain free as can be.
Whether it’s the presentation of the box upon delivery, the amount of eco packaging used, the ability to leave goods in a safe place or regular email and text updates.
Our free delivery applies 7 days a week and is available for retail orders of £60.00 and over inclusive of the standard UK rate of VAT. There may be a surcharge for non-UK Mainland, offshore and remote locations. We will send you an email when your goods have been dispatched, along with any applicable tracking details.
You'll find an accurate costing of delivery during checkout, as we take into account order weight and the best delivery service available for your location. We can service remote, offshore and international orders, however, as a quick guide here are the typical charges for Mainland UK deliveries:-

Only retail orders of £60.00 or over that are dispatched in their entirety will be eligible for free delivery, partial order dispatch on request of the customer will incur a delivery charge if the cost of the items to be dispatched are under £60.00 in value.
Cancelling items, combining orders, or changing your delivery address, speed, or preference might affect your order's eligibility for Free Delivery.
We reserve the right to change or discontinue our free delivery policy at any time although this will not affect existing orders.
The short answer is yes we do!
In general couriers class areas to the north west of Aberdeen and Inveraray (approximately) as 'remote'. As such this part of the mainland is more costly to deliver to than the rest.
We contribute towards the costs of every delivery and never profit from delivery costs.
We will appreciate hearing from you if you know of a more cost effective way to get your goods to you.
We pride ourselves on being completely transparent to all our customers.
We use a variety of UK Couriers, and they deliver Monday-Friday unless a Saturday or Sunday delivery is explicitly requested. There are no deliveries on Bank/Public holidays. We offer a number of guaranteed Courier delivery options, the standard one being a Next Working Day service (you'll need to order by 4:45pm to actually get it the next working day, else we dispatch it the following working day. We also offer a Saturday delivery service for orders placed before 4:45pm on a Friday. For remote/offshore locations, surcharges may apply. Our Couriers have a 99% delivery success rate. Whilst we have carefully selected reliable Couriers we cannot be held responsible for delays once the order has been dispatched from our warehouse. On occasions where delivery cannot be made, (i.e. you are not present at point of delivery), a card will be left detailing how you can make alternative arrangements for delivery with the courier. Our couriers will attempt to deliver your order a maximum of 3 times without any extra costs being incurred. You can detail any delivery instructions during checkout (i.e. "Leave goods in a porch.") This will enable the courier to leave the goods without the need for a signature. We cannot be held responsible for any delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to strike action or severe weather.
As long as your order hasn't been confirmed and processed at the check-out you can return to the store to edit or add items to those already in your basket before confirming and paying for your final order.
Further items can be added to an existing confirmed order if it has not already been dispatched by phoning us and quoting your original order number.
If the original order had a delivery charge but the new amended order exceeds the £60.00 threshold for free delivery, the delivery charge can be used as payment or part payment towards the cost of the additional goods. The outstanding balance of any amended order must be paid prior to dispatch.
If you wish to cancel part of an order after it has been confirmed and paid, please phone us ASAP.
If the total value of the remaining order drops below £60.00 as a result of a partial order cancellation, we will apply the appropriate delivery charge based on the new total order weight. In some cases, if the original order is just over the £60.00 threshold for free delivery and the cancelled item is of a low value, the new balance due could increase over the original total order cost as a result of the partial cancellation.
If the order has not yet been dispatched by Wood Finishes Direct, the order will be amended as per the customers instruction and any refund due will be processed within 7 days, and a maximum of 28 days. In the event of a partial order cancellation where the total cost of the order increases as a result of the inclusion of a delivery charge, the additional balance must be paid before goods are dispatched. If the goods in the original order have already been dispatched, a refund will be made for the unwanted items (less any delivery charge) on their return to Wood Finishes Direct as per our terms and conditions.
If the total for each part of the order that is going to a different address is for £60.00 or more then delivery to each separate address is free. If the total for any delivery address is below £60.00 a delivery charge based on order weight will apply to each delivery address.
Royal Mail have a strict policy on the transportation of liquid and solvent-based products above 15ml in volume, so anything that falls in to these categories or does not fit through a letterbox cannot be sent via their service.
Orders will only be dispatched on receipt of the full amount due and will only be sent to the address confirmed on the original order confirmation. Any address change or variation must be made before dispatch by email from the same email account as the original order. Payment will only be deemed as received on receipt of cleared funds.
We will send you a confirmation email when your order is placed and another email when your order is despatched which will detail how your goods were sent and if applicable, tracking information. With some couriers, you may also opt to receive a text message alert giving you a one-hour delivery slot notification (as part of our checkout process).
