How To Apply Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

  1. Apply End Grain Sealing Wax generously to end grains with an Osmo Soft Tip Brush
  2. For optimal protection for strongly absorbing end grains, apply the sealing wax two times wet-in-wet or, after drying, carry out a second coat
  3. Wipe away any excess wax from other areas with a clean, lint-free cloth

Does a good job and goes a long way
I have used end grain sealing wax on exterior cladding and found it to do a good job of protecting the ends of exposed boards put up over 2 years ago.

Easy to use
Seems to have taken really well to the wood. No bleeding through to the face of the timber.

Sealed well
Sealed drilled screw holes and cut ends effectively. My timber came with pre-sealed ends on the supplier's cuts so to maintain this with cuts of my own should ensure a long life.

Excellent Sealer
I used this product on a a planter that I built using larch. Very easy to use and apply, the product also appears to ‘go the distance’ and lasted through a long winter that also had temperatures that went as low as -14’C.

Seems okay, didn't go as far as I hoped
It seems okay, but didn't have the coverage I estimated from the information provided so I had to buy another tin to finish the job.
