A specialised cleaner for the removal of the black tannin spots and stains on untreated or oiled wood. Containing biodegradable oxalic acid with a pH value of 1-2 ensures Osmo Tannin Spot Remover is environmentally friendly and is easy to use in a pump action spray bottle.

Ensure that wood to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants.
- Remove house plants and metallic objects from the project area
- If necessary, clean the surface area and allow to dry thoroughly
Application

Always perform a test area to judge the product suitability and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times to obtain the optimum results.
- Shake well before use
- Spray evenly over the stain or mark and leave to soak in for 30 - 45 minutes
- Once the stain has dissolved, wipe away using a lint-free cotton cloth rinsed in warm water
- Repeat process if needed
- After drying, apply a suitable Maintenance Oil on the treated area, so that the wood is protected again

Did the job!
I ordered this to remove black marks on the oak worktops caused by water penetrating into the grain. I was dubious that it would work, but after two applications the black grain lines had gone! So pleased. (I had previously given the area a very good sanding to remove the oil finish and hoping I could sand the marks away, which I couldn’t!) the worktop looks like new now.

Good product
I was doubtful that anything would remove the black spots on my floor but this product did !!

It worked
We had a cleaner come and clean our kitchen and some of the chemicals she used splashed onto our wood work top and created dark spots that wouldn't go away. I tried this remover on them and they all disappeared. We also had some water stains on the worktop and it worked on those too. It seems too simple - if they don't disappear after one application, try again once or twice more and they will go.

Excellent results from this product
We had some unsightly black marks on our oiled wooden floor and we had an excellent result to remove them with this product. Highly recommend.

It works
2 applications and the black detergent liquid marks were gone. Applied maintenance oil afterwards and wood looks absolutely fine now

The Tannin Remover definitely removed some stubborn dark stains and lightened one that was a bad leak from a radiator
