- Apply a small amount of oil to the wood and using the scraper, spread it evenly across the wood surface
- Follow instructions for the specific oil you are using, paying particular attention to how much to apply, the suggested amount of coats and the required drying time
- Additional buffing to remove excess may be required with some products
