Overview

Osmo Garden Colour is a very versatile, opaque finish paint for use throughout the garden. It is highly resistant to water and dirt. Perfect for a wide range of projects, including timber cladding, clapboards (shutters), fencing, pergolas, garden furniture, sheds, balconies and car ports.

Wood to be treated with Osmo Garden Colour must be clean, dry and frost-free.

Old paints and varnishes must be fully removed with a suitable paint or varnish remover
Existing micro-porous finishes such as oils and stains need only be cleaned or lightly sanded prior to application of Osmo Garden Colours
Any end grain can be sealed with Osmo End Grain Sealing Wax (5735)
Fill any holes or gaps in the wood surface with a suitable wood filler
Any green growth should be cleaned and removed with Barrettine Mould and Mildew Cleaner
To revive wood that has greyed in the sun, use Osmo Wood Reviver Gel (6609)
If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat (4001)
Apply an exterior primer if needed

Always do a test area before starting any project to test product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Be aware that rough sawn timber is more absorbent, meaning coverage per litre will be greatly reduced. Osmo Garden Colour is ready to use straight from the tin, no thinning required. Stir well before and periodically when in use.

Apply thinly and evenly along the wood grain with an Osmo Soft Tip Brush, Osmo Premium Microfibre Roller or other suitable applicator
For exterior wood, apply the first coat on all sides before installation for maximum protection
Allow to dry for 3 - 4 hours
Once dry, a second thin coat should be applied, as above
Lightly sand between coats using 240 grit sandpaper

Aftercare

Regular Cleaning

Painted surfaces can be regularly cleaned using diluted Osmo Decking Cleaner (8025) and an Osmo Deck Cleaning Brush

For a more intensive clean, refresh using Osmo Wood Reviver Power Gel (6609)

Renovation

For general renovation, apply a fresh coat of Osmo Garden Colour thinly and evenly in the direction of the wood grain as and when required.

Really great paint

Using this to restore some very neglected external wood and it’s a joy to use. Goes a long way too so well worth the slightly premium price. Mixed with Light Grey to get the exact colour I wanted.

Great product

I used it on a shed and 5 bar gate, it took two coats as per the instruction and i did a great job. Ive used this in the past and will use it again especially on outdoor buikdings

Expensive but worth the price

Fantastic Coverage It goes a long way!

Great colour, brightens up the driveway fence and gate

Love this paint, the colour really works on the fence and gate. Makes the driveway look clean, sleek and modern. Great to see how effectively it repells the water on the fence. It.certainly.doesnt go as far in terms of use as it states on the tin.. at least not when it comes to raw.wood. Once sealed with the 1st (generous) coat, it then is a bit more giving (I had bought a 750ml tin initially due.to coverage claims... promptly had to get the 2.5l can instead)
