Osmo Spray Wax

Osmo Spray Wax is a high quality, industrial wood finish with high mechanical and chemical resistance, and is based on the popular Osmo Polyx Oil.

Osmo Spray Wax is ideal for all interior woods for which a durable, low-maintenance and hard-wearing surface is necessary, e.g. stairs, furniture, table tops, kitchen worktops, toys, parquet, flooring and so on. It is especially well suited to use in wet rooms, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Please Note: The Clear Semi-Matt version of this product (3009) is (R9) Anti-Slip rated, making it ideal for use on stairs and flooring.

Wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%).

1. Clean old microporous stains thoroughly
2. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed
3. Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes with Osmo wood filler or other compatible interior wood filler
4. If required, sand the wood surface, beginning with coarse sandpaper
5. Final sanding work for flooring P120-150; for furniture P220-240
6. Before oiling the wood, remove all traces of sanding dust with a broom or vacuum
7. If required, wood in damp environments such as kitchens and bathrooms can be pre-treated with Osmo Wood Protector (4006) for additional protection

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Osmo Spray Wax is ready to use, do not thin. Stir well before use.

1. Apply the Spray Wax with a cup spray gun, airless/air mix or HVLP
2. Spray evenly over the whole surface
3. Leave to dry for approx. 2-3 hours and apply second coat
4. Allow final coat 6 hours to fully dry then lightly abrade the surface

Regular cleaning

For daily maintenance a duster, mop or vacuum cleaner will be sufficient.

For optimal cleaning of floors treated with Osmo Spray Wax, we recommend the Osmo Floor Maintenance Kit.

For regular cleaning, we recommend using Osmo Wash and Care (8016) or Osmo Spray Cleaner (8026).

Please Note: Oiled or waxed surfaces should never be cleaned with a steam cleaner or steam mop as this can degrade or strip the finish. They can also potentially damage the wood.

Deep Cleaning

For stubborn scuffs and stains, we recommend Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner 3029 or Osmo Intensive Cleaner.

Renovation

Renovating, even partially, is easy. Just clean and re-treat worn areas with a thin coat of Osmo Spray Wax.
