Colron Wax Remover removes old waxes, lacquers, shellac and traditional natural varnishes from interior wooden surfaces such as furniture.
For the removal of paints and varnishes, use a chemical paint and varnish remover.

Ensure that wood to be treated with wax remover is clean, dry and free of any dust, dirt or other surface contaminants.

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and performance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
For stripping back to the bare wood:
- Dip a piece of grade (000) steel wool into the Colron Wax Remover and rub along the grain until the surface becomes sticky
- Keep applying until the surface finish has been completely removed, then rub down with a clean piece of Extra Fine Steel Wool (000) dipped in wax remover
- Allow to dry before rubbing down with dry steel wool
For stripping back to the original finish:
- Apply Colron Wax Remover using Finest Steel Wool (00000), rubbing gently over surface until the old finish has been completely dissolved
- Wipe off excess with a Colron Craftsmens Cloth, leaving the surface finish intact
Please Note: Coverage for this product is dependent on the type and amount of product to be removed. For example, a piece of wooden furniture coated with 10 layers of wax will require more wax remover than an item with 2 coats of wax.
