Liberon Liming Wax is a white wax that can be used to create a limed effect on hardwoods (where the softer parts of the grain are removed) or it can be used as a "white washed" type effect on softwoods.

Ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants or previous finishes.
- Old wax coatings can be removed, if required, with Woodleys Wax and Polish Remover
- On softwoods such as Pine, use a wire brush or coarse abrasive paper to score the timber
- If you wish to enhance the effect, colour the wood with a Liberon Palette Wood Dye before applying the Liming Wax

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
- Work the liming wax into the grain of the wood with Liberon Ultra Fine (0000) Steel Wool or a lint-free cotton cloth
- Wipe over with a clean cloth to remove any excess
- Allow to dry for 5 minutes
- Remove the white haze using a clean, lint-free cloth and Liberon Liquid Wax Polish Black Bison Neutral
- Apply a second coat of Wax Polish Black Bison and buff or add another coat of oil
- The more coats of oil that are applied the greater the water resistance and the higher the shine

Will Liming Wax disguise patchy and blotchy light oak stained floorboards that resulted from not evenly sanding them?
I have whitewashed my furniture with the rustoleum chalky white paint, can i use this to protect my furniture whilst keeping the white washed paint?
This product cannot be applied to flooring as it isn't durable enough to be under foot.

By adding this over chalky paint you will lose the chalk texture of the furniture. The liming wax is not suitable for protection. Please consider Rust-Oleum Furniture Finishing Wax (Clear). This is a natural blend of waxes, for sealing and enhancing chalk paint finishes.

First class wax
The wax was perfect and gave us exactly the finish we wanted.
We purchased this product twice and both times the tin was delivered dented and damaged. May be an idea to look at the way the product is packaged for dispatch.

Worked perfectly!
I have an oak table that was stained dark brown, however, I didn’t love it as much as I thought I would and it didn’t quite compliment my decor so I wanted to lighten it. After consulting the manufacturer, I was advised to buy wax and polish remover and limed wax and I can honestly say it’s worked perfectly and my beautiful oak table is exactly how I want it now. I’d highly recommend this product and also the wax and polish remover.
