Sandtex 10 Year Exterior Multi Surface Satin Paint is a durable exterior paint designed for use on a wide range of surfaces including wood metal PVC U concrete and stone. The soft satin finish gives exterior surfaces a smoother lower sheen appearance while helping to protect against everyday weathering.

The flexible mould resistant formulation helps resist cracking peeling and flaking over time while the self priming formula allows easier application on many exterior surfaces without the need for a separate undercoat.

Before applying Sandtex 10 Year Exterior Multi Surface Satin Paint ensure all surfaces are clean dry and free from dust grease loose material and other surface contamination. Previously painted surfaces should be checked for loose or flaking coatings and thoroughly sanded to provide a sound surface for adhesion.

  • Repair cracks holes and damaged areas with a suitable exterior filler before painting
  • Grey weathered timber should be sanded back to a clean sound surface before application
  • Ensure bare wood is fully dry and treat knots and resinous areas with an appropriate knotting solution
  • Non ferrous metals should be thoroughly abraded and cleaned with warm water and detergent to remove grease and surface contamination
  • Powdery chalky or porous surfaces should be stabilised with Sandtex Quick Drying Stabilising Solution
  • Ferrous metal and copper surfaces should first be primed with Sandtex 10 Year Exterior Multi Surface Primer Undercoat to aid adhesion to the surface
  • Protect surrounding areas and mask glass brickwork and fittings before starting application

Always test a small area before starting your project to check suitability compatibility and final appearance. Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C or during damp humid conditions where drying may be affected.

  • Stir thoroughly before and during use to maintain an even consistency and colour
  • Apply using a good quality Synthetic Brush or a short to medium pile roller Velour Roller for best results
  • Apply evenly along the surface and avoid overspreading the paint
  • Allow the first coat to dry fully before applying additional coats
  • Two to three coats are recommended to achieve a consistent durable finish
  • If using multiple tins in the same area intermix them before application to maintain colour consistency
  • Clean brushes rollers and equipment with warm soapy water immediately after use
