Overview
Protek Timber ECO Shield will prolong the beauty of your pre-treated timber project by using the latest nano-technology that leaves a waterproof finish. It can be used on all interior and exterior timber. It gives a traditional matt wood stain finish in a range of natural colours.
Timber ECO Shield also contains a mould inhibitor to protect the coating from moss and lichen. It is ideal for use on all softwood and hardwood products and is especially recommended for use on pressure treated timbers, as well as, sheds, summerhouses, timber buildings, fencing, gates, garden furniture, animal and bird housing.
It can also be used on metal, terracotta, stone and some plastics.

Ensure the wood to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.
- Remove any biological growth such as mould and algae with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner
- If required, use a suitable wood preserver before application, such as Protek Wood Preserver Plus
- Fill any gaps or splits in the wood with a suitable wood filler

Always do a test area before starting any project to test product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.
- Mix thoroughly before and periodically during use
- Apply two coats of Protek Timber ECO Shield by pump garden sprayer, brush or roller
- Allow 3 hours between coats
- Extra coats will further enhance the colour and give more time before re-treatment is required
- Do Not apply in temperatures below 5°C
- Do Not apply to damp, wet or frozen timber
- Do Not apply if wet weather is expected within 48 hours

Regular Cleaning
Smooth wooden surfaces can be wiped down with a damp, lint-free cloth on a regular basis. A dedicated exterior wood cleaner may be used as and when required.
Maintenance
To maintain the finish and its protective qualities, simply apply a single coat of Protek Timber ECO Shield as and when required.

It does what it says on the tin
I have applied this to my raised bed timber ready for installiation,it was easy to apply and covers generously. The timber is now a darker shade of brown and looks as though it will be well protected. The product was recommended by the Yorkshire Sleeper Saw Mills company and I can see why that was so,I would definately recommend it foir use on any out door timber.

Excellent product excellent service
Great product. Thin yes but easy to apply with an excellent colour and finish.
Two coats on a refurbished bird table which has been out in the British weather for a month now. Water just beads off and it still looks like it’s been freshly finished.

Excellent and easy to use
I found this a very easy product to work with. Though because of the weather it was delayed. Just finished phase one. will be starting phase two shortly so will buying more.

Great product for protecting my shed
Got Protek with my garden shed. Liked the product so much that I now buy the same when needing to protect the wooden shed. Provides good protection for a long period. Shed still looks in good condition.

Did the shed and flower bed with it. Very easy to apply. Goes a long way, nice colour. The wood of the shed did work overnight after I applied it. Maybe it was too humid but would buy again.

Good coverage, easily applied and brushes can be cleaned in water
A thin milky liquid that can be applied to pre-treated external timber for waterproofing. Very low odour. Low viscosity means application to vertical surfaces has to be undertaken with care (don't overload brush to avoid drips).
Now 2-3 weeks after application, still seems to be working well in repelling water
