Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss

For the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.

• Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using 'wet flatting' methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove all traces of sanding dust
• Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead
• Treat knots with a suitable knotting solution
• Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate wood filler
• When applying water-based paints to surfaces previously decorated with a conventional solvent-based paint, very thorough surface preparation will be necessary
• Apply 1 or 2 coats of Dulux Trade Quick Dry Undercoat and allow to fully dry before application of Quick Dry Gloss

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. Thinning is not usually necessary, but if required add up to 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint.

1. Stir thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss by brush, microfibre roller or spray applicator
3. For best results, use a good quality synthetic paint brush, designed for use with water-based paints, and lightly dampen both the brush and the wood surface prior to application to increase flow
4. Apply 1 or 2 coats of Quick Dry Gloss
5. Where a strong colour change is involved, 3 coats may be required

Spray Recommendations

• Conventional Spray: Satisfactory through most types of conventional spray equipment
• Airless Spray: A typical recommendation for airless spray application is a minimum working pressure on paint of 138 bars (2000 lb/sq in) with a spray tip size of 0.43mm (17 thou) and a spray tip angle of 60°

To maintain the finish, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Trade Quick Dry Gloss as required, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.
