Overview
Dulux Trade Eggshell is a tough, durable finish for use on interior wood and metal. Does not require an undercoat, unless a strong colour change is required.

Preparation
For the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry) and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as dirt, grease and wax.
New or Bare Timber
- New or bare surfaces can be primed with Dulux Trade Undercoat if a strong colour change is required
Previously Painted Timber
- Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using wet flatting methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove all traces of sanding dust
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
Old Timber
- Treat knots with an appropriate knotting solution if required
- Any surface defects should be filled with a suitable wood filler
Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Stir thoroughly before use.
This product is not suitable for spray application. For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient paint for each project including enough for touch in at a later date if required. Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C.
- Apply 2 full coats of Dulux Trade Eggshell Paint using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
- Allow 18 hours drying time between coats
