Sandtex Microseal Fine Textured Masonry Paint

Sandtex Microseal Textured Masonry Paint is suitable for use on most sound, dry exterior masonry surfaces including Rendering, Roughcast, Pebbledash, Concrete, Building Blocks, Facing Bricks, Emulsion or Masonry Painted Surfaces.

All surfaces must be sound, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of Sandtex Masonry Paint.

• Remove all loose, and failing or suspect material by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush (not wire) to a sound edge
• Organic growth must be removed and the affected areas treated with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner
• For surfaces in poor condition, mechanical means may be necessary e.g. pressure washing between 1500-2000 psi (102-136 bar), proprietary paint removal system, wet or dry grit blasting
• Care must be taken not to damage the underlying surface
• Fill any cracks and small defects in masonry surfaces with a suitable filler
• Stabilise all bare, filled, porous and previously decorated chalking areas with an application of a suitable stabilising solution
• Wash any soundly adhering gloss painted surfaces with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants
• Wet abrade to provide a key, then rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues and allow to dry

Always do a test area before starting any project to check product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times. Do not apply when there is a risk of rain, air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period. Do not use on bitumen coatings. This product is not suitable for airless spray application.

Please Note: This product is not suitable for common, fletton or engineering type bricks.

1. Stir thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply Sandtex Textured Masonry Paint with a masonry brush or medium / long-pile roller depending on surface texture
3. Leave 3-4 hours to dry then apply a second coat
4. When over-painting darker colours, a third coat may be required
