Sandtex Brickwork Waterproofer and Protector protects your home against water damage, such as rain, frost, ice and snow. By using an advanced formula that produces a silicon barrier on the substrate, it prevents water damage penetrating your home

Preparation

Back

Before application the surface need to be clean, dry and free from flaking paintwork or oil and grease. Treat any fungal growth with a suitable fungicidal wash, such as Sandtex Fungicidal Wash and allow the project area to dry thoroughly.

Always do a test area before starting any project to check suitability and compatibility

Ensure the product is thoroughly mixed by shaking vigorously
Apply liberally with either a brush or a roller
The second recommended coat will need to be applied within an hour of the first coat
Allow 24 hours drying time after application

Can you apply Sandtex Brickwork Waterproofer over the top of painted brick walls?

When used over paint, it would take away the substrate's breathability. We would only recommend using this on bare surfaces.

Good product

Product goes a long water, the consistency is quite watery so decided to roller it on rather than brush. The 5l tin did two patios, a path and the coping stones on a wall. Time will tell to see how effective it is.
