Ronseal Stays White 2 in 1 Primer and Paint is a paint and primer in one for use on bare or previously painted wood. Ideal for priming and painting interior wooden doors, windows and skirting boards.

Ensure that surfaces to be primed are clean, dry, and free from any dirt, dust or other surface contaminants. Make sure room temperature is above 10°c. Put down dust sheets to protect areas not to be painted.
Bare Wood
- Lightly sand wood in the direction of the wood grain
- Any old, decayed, loose wood must be removed before treating the affected area with Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener prior to filling
- Any existing woodworm can be eradicated with Ronseal Woodworm Killer
- Fill any gaps in the wood with Ronseal High Performance Wood Filler or Ronseal Multi Purpose Wood Filler
- Clean and degrease the wood by wiping over with a lint-free cloth dampened with methylated spirit prior to coating
Previously Painted Wood
- If paint is in good condition, a light sanding is all that is needed
- If paint is flaking, peeling or cracked, it must be taken back to bare wood by stripping or sanding
- If the wood shows signs of rot or decay, follow the process above for 'Bare Wood'
- Wipe down with white spirit, being sure to remove any excess sanding dust before applying Ronseal 2 in 1 Primer and Paint

Always do a small test area before beginning any project to assess adhesion and overall performance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. Stir thoroughly before use.
- Apply Ronseal 2 in 1 Primer and Paint using a good quality synthetic brush in the direction of the wood grain
- Leave it to dry for 4 hours, then apply a second coat

Great skirting paint
This paint went on so evenly and well. Good coverage and quick to dry, only 2 coats needed to spruce up the skirting and doorframes of our utility room.

Love it, dries quick
I always buy this paint as it is touch dry in 30 minutes, therefore you don't have to wait hours for it to dry. Which is a bonus when you have cats. Also it stays white unlike another well known brand.

It is probably one of the better DIY & trade use paints on the market. Always happy with the way it covers. Quickest drying I've used. Glad to have this product when working with older people or families with kids or animals. For me the best all round paint on the market
