Ensure the project area is free of any dust or debris and can provide a solid surface for the filler to adhere to.
- Remove any loose debris from the project area
- Metallic reinforcement needs to be pre-treated with a suitable product
- Dusty or soft substrates must be hardened before coating
- Wash the project area to clean away any residue and dust and allow to dry thoroughly

Always do a test area to measure the suitability and the finish of the product. Also, follow the manufacturer's instructions to ensure optimum results.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight
- Mix the powder to the recommended ratio by gradually adding water and producing a homogenous paste
- Apply the paste with the use of a filler knife, such as Mako Filler Knife, filling the cracks, holes and blemishes on the project area
- Prestonett Quick Dry Exterior Filler can be applied up to a thickness of 4cm and has a working time of 35 minutes
- Apply the paste from bottom to top, taking care to fill the area fully, leaving no air pockets or gaps
- Allow a drying time of 3 hours before sanding smooth and applying an overcoat
