Holzol Weather Oil provides the perfect solution for all your exterior weather protection needs. It is ideal for use on timber cladding, doors, windows, sheds, fences, conservatories and garden furniture.

Ensure that wooden surfaces are clean, dry and free from surface dirt and debris by brushing with a stiff brush or lightly sanding prior to applying Holzol Weather Oil.

  • Remove all surface coatings such as paint, varnish wood sealers and stains by sanding or using a paint and varnish remover
  • Thoroughly remove traces of sanding dust, dirt and grease by wiping surfaces over with a lint-free cloth dampened with white spirit before oiling

Always do a small test area before beginning any project to assess compatibility, colour and end result. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

This product is ready-to-use from the tin, do not thin. Stir thoroughly prior to application.

  1. Apply an even film of Holzol Weather Oil with a natural bristle brush or microfibre roller
  2. Allow 10-12 hours to dry, then lightly denib / abrade with a finishing pad or 220 / 240 silicon carbide abrasive
  3. Apply a second coat of oil, as above
  4. For added protection, finish with a coat of clear UV Holzol Weather Oil

Please Note: Using these products in systems outside these guidelines can lead to immediate and latent problems with the integrity of the finish.

Regular Cleaning

For smooth exterior wooden surfaces, this product can be cleaned using a damp, lint-free cloth.

Please Note: Oiled wooden surfaces should not be cleaned with copious amounts of hot or cold water. Avoid using household detergents and cleaners as these may degrade or breakdown the oiled finish.

Maintenance

If the finish becomes tired looking or damaged, abrade with 240 / 320 silicon carbide abrasive and apply a further coat of Holzol Weather Oil, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Love the colour by Angela Szczerba

It was patchy at the end of the first coat but beautifully even after the second. Rain heading off brilliently. Will definitely use this again.

Looks superb when applied by Stephen Storer

Early days but looks really nice and rain just beads off.

Impressive by Mr Stephen Perkins

After sussing out how to get the lid off the tin, things imporved. Straightforward to apply on bare wood. Two coats needed for a solid finish, but this has produced a deep green shade which is very pleasing. I am optimistic that it will last linger than a high wax product which seems to last such a short time.

Good product, dries well by Sharon Gray

Quicker drying time than some other oils. Seems to work well, time will tell!
