Preparation

Preparation

Back

Ensure that surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease or any other surface contaminants.

  1. Remove all loose and defective paint with a paint scraper, by sanding, or with a paint stripper
  2. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
  3. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues
  4. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
  5. Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate filler

Application

Application

Back

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost.

  1. Stir thoroughly before and periodically during use
  2. Apply Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood by brush
  3. For best results, use a good quality synthetic paint brush, designed for use with water-based paints
  4. Apply 2 full coats of Quick Dry Satinwood
  5. Allow 6 hours to dry between coats

Great colour match, application & drying time
This was a delight to use on my scuffed wardrobes. I used a matchpot to make sure I'd got the right shade. Because the matchpots are matt finish and I wanted satin, I applied the satin tinned paint over the top of the matt. I'll apply a second coat to get the required sheen, but that's no problem. Dried quickly, no drips. Very pleased.

Excellent match to emulsion
Bought Egyptian cotton easycare to paint panelling and needed satinwood to match in the skirting, dado rail, window cills and doors - the satinwood covered very well covering existing dark grey doors Exact match to the emulsion and cannot see where the emulsion ends and the satinwood starts which is what we needed for a seamless finish

Great for touching up damaged paintwork
Bought this to touch up damaged paintwork - it certainly dries quickly and the colour match is so good it is impossible to tell from the original.

Lovely finish
Bought to go with the matching emulsion to paint on double doors in kitchen to make them blend on the wall. The finish is really lovely , the paint didn’t go as far as I had expected , I would definitely buy again
