Ensure that surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease or any other surface contaminants.
- Remove all loose and defective paint with a paint scraper, by sanding, or with a paint stripper
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
- Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues
- Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
- Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate filler

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess compatibility and consistency of the final finish and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- Apply Dulux Once Satinwood using a good quality synthetic paint brush in the direction of the wood grain
- Allow 16 hours for the paint to fully dry
Cleaning
Once finished, scrape off any excess paint from your brush and clean it with a suitable paint brush cleaner.

If the finish shows signs of wear over time, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Once Satinwood paint, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Will Dulux Once Satinwood cover gloss?
If the surface is given a key to remove the sheen and allows adhesion, then yes. 1-2 coats may be required.
