Overview

Overview

Back

Cuprinol All Purpose Wood Filler is a tough and durable wood filler for small repairs both indoors or outdoors. Formulated to flex with the natural movement of the wood, so it won't shrink and fall out. Can be sanded and overcoated once dry.

Please Note: The 250ml and 500ml sizes are tubs and the 310ml is a tube to be used with a mastic gun.

This product is not suitable for filling gaps in between floor boards. Instead, see our full range of wood fillers.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

Ensure that surfaces to be filled are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt or any other surface contaminants.

Application

Application

Back

Always do a small test area before beginning any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tube at all times.

  1. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying
  2. Cut the nozzle to the required width and place into cartridge gun
  3. Apply along or in the area to be repaired, smoothing with a wet filling knife where necessary
  4. For breaks in between filling release trigger on cartridge gun to avoid over-spill
  5. For holes greater than 5mm deep, build up in layers, allowing each layer to dry
  6. Leave proud and when completely dry (normally 2 hours) sand down and dust off

Finishing

Finishing

Back

Once the filler is dry, wood can be over-coated with a suitable wood preserver, stain, paint or varnish. Do not use a wood dye over this product.

Please Note: When over-coated the filled area may differ in colour to the surrounding area, therefore we recommend filling and finishing a small test area first to ensure that the appearance is acceptable.

Colour looks spot on for what it's needed, even though though I would have to colour match so not an issue.
