Ciranova Exterior Wood Varnish

Ciranova Exterior Wood Varnish is a high performance clear finish designed to protect and enhance exterior timber while preserving its natural appearance. Suitable for doors, windows and other exterior woodwork, it forms a smooth, protective surface that helps shield against the effects of weather and seasonal exposure. The finish is easy to maintain, making it a practical choice for long term timber protection.

Before application, ensure the timber is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, resin and any loose or unstable coatings.

• Any existing cracked, peeling or flaking varnish or paint must be completely removed back to a sound surface before application
• Previously coated surfaces that are stable and intact should be lightly sanded to create a key for adhesion
• Bare timber should be sanded with around 120 grit abrasive to create a smooth and evenly prepared surface
• Weathered or grey timber should be cleaned and restored prior to coating to achieve a uniform finish
• Slightly round off sharp edges and corners to allow the varnish film to form evenly and reduce the risk of premature wear
• Avoid using steel wool as fine metal fragments can remain in the timber and may cause staining when exposed to moisture
• Remove all sanding dust thoroughly before application to ensure an even, consistent finish

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

1. Ready to use: do not dilute
2. Apply with a brush or roller for large surfaces in 3 even coats
3. 2 coats will be sufficient for interior wood

Drying Times

1. Between coats: 3 hours
2. Drying to the core: 48 hours

Ciranova Exterior Wood Varnish is self-renovating. Sanding the surface with 120-grit sandpaper is essential, after dusting, apply two coats.
