Zinsser Universal Degreaser and Cleaner can be used on a wide range of surfaces ranging from tiles and grouting, baths, sinks, showers through to ovens, BBQs, tools and garden equipment. Suitable for preparing the surface before painting and can remove dried water based paint, grease, oil, glue and adhesive, wax, blood stains, chewing gum, lipstick and more.

Do not use on varnished surfaces or leather
May also mark a metal surface

Preparation

Ensure the project area is free of dust, defects and is sound

Remove any dust or debris with either a suitable brush or a vacuum cleaner
If necessary, fill any gaps, holes or cracks with a suitable filler
Avoid using near edible items to prevent any contamination
Be careful of electrical appliances and if possible unplug them from the power supply

Always perform a test area before application

Apply straight onto the surface that is to be cleaned
Allow enough time for Zinsser Universal Degreaser and Cleaner to penetrate the surface
Wipe the area clean with a suitable cloth to remove any residue and rinse clean
For more stubborn stains, such as the removal of old paint, then scrub with a brush or scouring pad
If the area is to be painted then allow the surface to thoroughly dry
