Very poor - I would give it 0 stars if I coukd
Arrived promptly but made no difference at all to the piece of wood - liquid smelt and tasted like water

Hasn't worked as well as hoped
I bought this product to remove the stain from a bannister rail. After several attempts (currently on the sixth try) the wood appears slightly lighter but not much. This could be because the product does not work or that the bannister is stained a dark mahogany brown and is just too dark for the colour to be successfully removed.

Hard work but eventually effective
It did work but I used plenty of the liquid and wire wool plus elbow grease over a number of days. This was on an oak veneered shelf with 1 coat of stain. It was worth the effort in the end..

A note from us...
Hello,
The Manns Wood Stain remover will only work on a waterbased stain. As this was fence stain you where trying to remove there may have been some wax or solvent in it, that cannot be removed with this product.
If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch wood@finishes.direct
All the Best Sam.
Didn't work at all
Brought this product for door frames and skirting to take off dark stain, sadly didn't do anything.

Hello Sandra
I am sorry to hear that this product has not worked for you, it is designed to remove water based stains which it does very effectively. So it may be that the stain you where trying to remove was solvent based or even some manufacturers call varnishes a stain. For these we would recommend a product such as the Peelaway.
I hope that helps and if you need any advice on stain/paint/varnish removal feel free to give us a call on 0800 7818 123
Best Wishes Sam.
Much better result than we ever expected
Used to remove horrible coloured stain that had been applied to new pine doors. Took a couple of coats and a fair bit of sanding, but we eventually got back to a state where we could apply new colour successfully.

Did not remove Ronseal All in one woodstain
This product is probably excellent for removing water based stain.
Having read the product reviews one reviewer said that it had removed Ronseal woodstain.
I was hopeful it would do the same for me, however it was not suitable and didn't touch it. This was not the fault of the product.

Hello Chris,
Your absolutely right this product is great for water based stains. The Ronseal Wood stain product that you have used is more then likely to be Varnish product which we would recommend the Paint Panther Paint and Varnish remover or Peelaway 7.
