Back

Polyvine Acrylic Enamel Paint is a high quality coating suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior surfaces where a traditional solvent based enamel was used, these tough, durable enamels are available in a large range of intermixable colours which can be used on plastic, metal, wood, glass, ceramic, card and porcelain.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

To get the best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, such as rust, dirt, grease and wax.

Previously Painted Surfaces

  • Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove all traces of sanding dust
  • Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead

Application

Application

Back

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability, colour and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

  1. Stir the product thoroughly before use
  2. Use a suitable container to mix colours in, if needed
  3. Apply 2-3 full coats using a good quality synthetic brush or spray system
  4. On porous surfaces dilute the first coat with 10% water
  5. Wipe off any excess enamel paint as you go with a clean, lint-free cloth
  6. Allow to dry for 1-2 hours
Cleaning Equipment

Application equipment can be cleaned using soap and water. Once cleaned, allow to dry naturally.

Easy to use
Needed a paint to write the number on a new plastic household bin. Ideal and easy to use especially the brush cleaning in soapy water I did have to paint over the number

Quality product
I bought a few of these for use in lettering on artwork. They have a really good gloss shine to them once dry. Can be thinned with clean spirit if needed 5✨??

I ordered for a small sentimental project. The colours is good. Went on quite well. All in all a good paint. I like how you can small jars either for touch ups or small projects. Will certainly make this my go to paint for future projects.
