OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive

OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive can grip to a wide range of substrates including aluminium, glass and fibreglass. Designed to be used with a wide range of temperature, is resistant to even sea water and can be used on internal and external substrates. Also, OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive is fully compatible with the ProDec Extra Strong Caulking Gun.

To achieve optimum results, the surfaces need to be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

• Remove any old, substandard and flaking paint either by sanding or with the use of a paint scraper
• Extra caution should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain hazardous levels of lead
• If there is evidence of organic growth, such as lichen growths, mould, fungal or algae then an antifungal solution will need to be used
• Clean the surface with a suitable detergent to remove any dirt, grease and dusty or powdery residues
• If required, rub down surfaces and then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust
• Place masking tape along the edges of the application area to help maintain a straight clean edge

Always produce a test area beforehand to assess product suitability and the final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tube at all times.

• Cut the cap off the screw part of the tube to open
• Attach the supplied nozzle to the tube
• Place the tube into a skeleton gun
• Apply OB1 Multi-Surface Construction Sealant and Adhesive into the gap or joint, ensuring a good solid fill
• Always tool using a spatula or a wetted stick within 10 minutes of application
• If masking tape has been used, then remove the masking tape within ten minutes of application
• Uncured sealant can be cleaned off with water
