Morrells Fastmatch Acid-Catalyst Lacquer is a durable, two-part, tinted, sprayable wood lacquer, available in any colour from a mainline colour chart including Pantone and RAL colour charts. Perfect for interior wooden joinery and furniture or any areas that demand a tough, hard wearing, coloured finish. Provide your colour reference in "Special Instructions" at checkout.

Please be aware that although RAL colour 9010 is described as 'Pure White', it is in-fact a slightly creamy off white. When picking colours from an online colour chart, screen resolution, colour, contrast and brightness setting all have an influence on the colour seen. Be sure that the correct colour code has been entered at the time of order.

As with most types of paint or varnish, the wood being worked on will influence the final colour normally changing it by a shade or two. For example, light coloured woods such as pine may lighten the end overall colour by a degree or two, while a darker wood such as mahogany or oak will darken the shade by a few degrees.

The lightening and darkening effect caused by the type of wood can be avoided by using Morrells White Acid-Catalyst Primer for pigmented acid-cat varnishes first. The primer will fill small scratches and blemishes in the wood making sanding easier prior to the application of the top coat(s). The primer itself is neutral white which gives the surface about to be coloured a 'blank sheet of canvas' effect thus providing the correct colour match.

Always do a small test area before starting any project to assess performance and end result. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the tin at all times.

1. Mix Morrells Fastmatch Acid-Catalyst Lacquer with supplied catalyst at 9 parts lacquer to 1 part catalyst
2. This product can be applied with most types of spray equipment including HVLP, airless and air assisted. Spraying is strongly recommended
3. When using a primer just 1 top coat can be applied although 2 coats are recommended
4. For those who don't require a perfect match, the acid-cat varnish can be applied directly to furniture or wooden surfaces
5. A minimum of 2 coats is normally required but 3 or more coats can be used for added protection
6. Leave adequate time between coats and denib between each coat to aid with adhesion
7. Do not apply more than 3 coats in one day, as excessive coating weights can lead to cracking or lifting

Morrells Fastmatch Acid-Catalyst Lacquer is touch dry within 10-15 minutes. It can be sanded and recoated within 60-90 minutes, but for the purposes of packing we recommend leaving the item overnight beforehand.
