Preparation

Preparation

Back

Ensure the surface to be polished is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants.

Application

Application

Back

Always do a small test area before beginning any project to assess colour, compatibility and end result. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

French polishes are best applied in a warm, dust-free environment.

  1. Liberon Button Polish can be applied with a French Polishing mop or with a rubber in accordance with traditional French Polishing techniques
  2. Multiple coats of polish will give a deeper, richer finish and a glossy sheen

Please Note: Applied too thickly the solid content of the finish can mask some of the grain figure detail.

Brilliant Stuff
Easy to apply. Personally, I used a brush. Dries very quickly and further coats can be applied after half an hour. Does not drip unless you put too much on. Personally, I would always use this instead of varnish. Much easier to apply, gives an excellent finish and dries far quicker. I cannot fault it.

It was used for stiffening artists' canvasses and worked well
A good product for what it was needed for.
