Overview
Cuprinol Ultimate Furniture Oil is a high performance treatment for oiled or untreated garden furniture, working in three ways:
- Waxes increase the water repellancy of the wood protecting it from the weather
- Oils penetrate to replace the natural oils lost through weathering
- Enhances the grain pattern and appearance
Regular application will help prevent the wood from greying and maintain the original appearance of your garden furniture. This product cannot be used over non-water based oils.

Ensure surfaces to be treated with Cuprinol Ultimate Furniture Oil are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, loose debris and any other surface contaminants.
- Any previous stains should be removed back to bare wood by sanding or using a suitable wood stripper
- Remove any surface dirt and soiling, large areas of algae, lichen, fungi or moss with a stiff brush or scraper
- If the wood has been contaminated with biological growth, treat with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner
- Fill any gaps or splits in the wood with an appropriate filler
- Before oiling, prepare the garden furniture with a suitable cleaner such as Cuprinol Garden Furniture Cleaner
- To restore the appearance of grey and weathered furniture, use Cuprinol Garden Furniture Restorer prior to oiling

Always do a small test area before beginning any project to assess the colour and compatibility of the finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Shake the tin thoroughly before and periodically during use to ensure that the oil is well mixed.
- Apply 2 light coats of Curpinol Furniture Oil with a suitable brush or lint-free cloth
- Allow a minimum of 6 hours between coats, longer if the wood still feels sticky
- Allow 24-48 hours drying time before using treated garden furniture (drying times vary dependent on the outside temperature and type of wood)

Regular Cleaning
For regular cleaning, use a stiff brush or scraper to remove any surface dirt and debris. Algae, mould or fungi should be treated with a suitable mould and mildew cleaner.Deep Cleaning
For deep cleaning of wooden garden furniture, use Cuprinol Garden Furniture Cleaner.
Maintenance
To maintain the finish and its protective properties, simply re-apply a fresh coat of Cuprinol Ultimate Furniture Oil, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Excellent coverage
This is the first time that I have used this product. I used it on an untreated oak table I have made. I have used two coats. The second remained tacky for a few weeks, mainly because it was very cold in my garage. Once dried it has made an excellent waterproof finish, ready for the outside world.
