Crown Trade Clean Extreme Anti Bacterial Scrubbable Matt

Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt offers a finish that is more stain resistant by 100% when compared to conventional emulsions and can be scrubbed in excess of 10,000 times. Can also defend against bacteria such as MRSA and Ecoli and is suitable for interior walls and ceilings.

To accomplish the optimum results it is essential to guarantee the project area is clean, dry and structurally sound, free from any imperfections or poorly adhering material

• All substandard, flawed and peeling old paint will need to be removed, either by sanding or with the use of a paint scraper
• Extra caution needs be taken when clearing a surface of pre-1960s paint as they could possibly contain harmful quantities of lead
• Remove any lichen, mould, algal or fungal organic growths, with an antifungal solution, such as Sandtex Fungicidal Wash
• Any residues of dirt, grease and dust or powder need to be cleaned away by washing the area with a suitable detergent
• Any imperfections in the surface, such as small cavities, holes and cracks, need to be be filled, sealed and fixed with a suitable filler and then sanded flat
• Establish that the project area is clean by washing the surface with a suitable detergent to eliminate any residue of dust, grime or grease, then rinse clean and allow to fully dry
• Powdery or dusty substrates need to be sealed with an appropriate sealant, such as Sandtex Quick Drying Stabilising Solution
• It could be necessary to coat absorbent and porous surfaces with a mist coat comprising of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt diluted with 40% clean water
• Polished or shiny surfaces need to be primed with a suitable primer, such as Crown Trade PX3 All Purpose Primer or Crown Trade PX4 All Purpose Primer if a water based primer is needed
• If the surface is still contaminated with staining or bleeding, then patch prime with Crown Trade PX4 All Purpose Primer to help eliminate the blemish

Always produce a test area before the application to gauge the appropriateness and final finish of the product. Follow the manufacturer's instructions at all times.

To guarantee the consistency of colour throughout the application, ensure enough supplies of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt for the project area, including a sufficient amount for touch-in at a later date

Avoid applying if the air or surface temperatures are likely to fall below 8° or to exceed 80% humidity

• Blend and mix the paint, ensuring to work through the bottom and edges of the tin to guarantee an even mixture of the pigment within the paint
• Apply with a high quality roller for the walls and a good quality synthetic brush for cutting in the corners and around fittings and fixtures
• If Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt is being applied by spray, then refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the recommended dilution ratio
• The usual finishing process requires 2 full coats of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt, however this can change and depends on the darkness of the substrate

Please note: Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt will take one week to become fully cured and scrubbable.

Cleaning

Painted surfaces can be gently wiped with a damp cloth combined with a mild detergent to eliminate surface scuffs and marks.

Maintenance

To preserve the finish, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt as required, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Please note: A small residue of colour may be wiped away when the newly painted surface is first cleaned. This is entirely normal and does not compromise the integrity of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt in any way.
