Ciranova Oculto Plus

Proper preparation is essential to achieve the best adhesion, appearance and durability when applying Ciranova Oculto Plus. Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease or any other surface contaminants before application.

1. Remove any existing paint, varnish, lacquer or previous finish completely to expose clean, bare wood.
2. Take care when working with coatings on older surfaces, particularly pre-1960s paints, as they may contain lead. If in doubt, test the coating before sanding or seek professional advice.
3. Ensure the timber is clean and free from dust, grease, resin and other contaminants before beginning the sanding process.
4. Sand the surface progressively using the correct sanding sequence, typically starting with 60 grit, followed by 80 grit and finishing with 100 grit.
5. After sanding, remove all sanding dust thoroughly using a vacuum or lint-free cloth to ensure an even finish.
6. Ciranova Oculto Plus can be applied to properly prepared sanded, planed or brushed wood surfaces.

Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before starting your project to confirm suitability and the final appearance. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container.

Ciranova Oculto Plus can be used as both a primer and finishing coat. For best results it should be applied in three coats.

1. Stir the product thoroughly before use to ensure an even consistency. Do not dilute.
2. Apply using a brush, roller or suitable spray equipment. A short-pile microfibre roller (4-6mm) is recommended.
3. Apply the first coat evenly in the direction of the wood grain to ensure consistent coverage.
4. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately 4-6 hours before applying the second coat in the same way.
5. After the second coat has dried for 12-24 hours, lightly sand the surface using P180-220 grit abrasive.
6. Remove all sanding dust thoroughly before applying the third and final coat.
7. Allow the finish to dry and cure fully before subjecting the surface to regular use.

Drying Times

1. Touch dry in approximately 20+-30 minutes
2. Ready for sanding or recoating after around 4-6 hours
3. Light foot traffic possible after approximately 24 hours
4. Fully cured and hardened after around 7 days

To maintain the appearance and long-term performance of floors finished with Ciranova Oculto Plus, regular cleaning and periodic maintenance with compatible floor care products is recommended.

For regular maintenance it is recommended to use Ciranova Hard Floor Fresh. Use Ciranova Unicare X-Matt for periodic maintenance use. Ciranova Hard Floor Cleaner is used for cleaning highly soiled floors and to remove old layers of polish.
