Overview
Bollom Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt Top Coat is a Class 0 rated protective and decorative top coat for interior walls and trim. It is as easy to use as conventional paints and provides a high quality durable finish.
Flameguard Ultra provides a means of achieving your desired colour scheme and finish, whilst providing the highest possible fire rating (Class 0) on the painted surface. The paints are designed to inhibit surface spread of flame and heat release, providing vital escape time in the event of a fire.
Flameguard Ultra delivers Class 0 protection on masonry surfaces that have been already coated with up to 10 layers of conventional paint as well as new masonry surfaces.
For new, bare or previously painted non-combustible surfaces the product can be applied over Bollom Flameguard Ultra Primer Undercoat. It can also be applied over Bollom Broflame Ultra Basecoat wood surfaces.

Ensure the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease or any substance liable to give adhesion problems. scrape off any old or flaking paint until you have a firm well adhered surface; if in doubt remove all existing coatings. For existing gloss and eggshell finishes wet abrade and rinse with clean water to remove any residues.
Always apply Bollom Flameguard Ultra Primer Undercoat prior to applying Bollom Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt Topcoat.

Always do a small test area before starting any project to assess performance and end result. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the tin at all times.
- Stir thoroughly prior to application
- Can be applied using a brush or roller
- Flameguard Ultra Vinyl Matt must not be thinned
- Coverage rates must be adhered to in order to achieve the fire rating
- Throughout the period of application and drying the ambient and substrate temperature should be between 5-30°C with ambient relative humidity below 75%
- Allow to dry for a minimum of four hours @ 20°C between coats
