Preparation

Decking boards to be cleaned should be free from loose dirt, debris, leaves and twigs. Sweep the decked area with a stiff broom or brush to remove all loose matter before cleaning.

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Mixing Guidelines

Using a watering can, add the decking cleaner to water. The mix of cleaner to water depends on the amount of soiling on the surface. For a light concentration, mix 125ml of cleaner to 10L of water; for a heavy concentration, mix 250ml of cleaner with 10L of water.

How to Clean Decking

Once diluted, pour solution over surface and scrub using a stiff brush
Leave for 15-20 minutes
Scrub the surface again before rinsing with clean water
Continue rinsing until all foam has been removed

Please Note: Avoid direct contact of Barrettine Super Concentrated Decking Cleaner with plants and garden ornaments.

Aftercare

For general maintenance of garden decking, sweep decking boards with a stiff broom or decking brush to remove any loose dirt or debris, and treat with Barrettine Super Concentrated Decking Cleaner as and when required.

Economical and easy

I used it to clean boards I’d turned over and was re using. They were mostly pretty clean but with some dirt and marks plus some areas of a previous wax based treatment I’d applied to the grooved side. The cleaner did a good job and was easy to apply and remove.

Best I have Found

The decking cleaner did a really top job. The cleanliness of the wooden decking was amazing after cleaning. Just waiting for a good warm dry period then I can put a decking oil/wax coat on for this year.

Excellent and great value

One of the best cleaners for my decking I have ever used. You've still got to put the work in, but you could see the green mildew wipe away when it was scrubbed. But beware, it is super concentrated, on one part of my deck I used too much and it took me ages to get rid of it all! So use it sparingly! I think I have enough to clean my deck for the next two years.
