Siroflex SX Instant Paintable Caulk

A high quality acrylic sealant that is ideal for interior use, especially in areas where slight movement can occur, such as door frames, window sills and architraves. Designed to fill holes and seal gaps between surfaces and fixings whilst maintaining a good level of flexibility and can reduce the cracking and discolouration of the paint. Also, Siroflex SX Instant Paintable Caulk is fully compatible with the ProDec Extra Strong Caulking Gun

To achieve optimum results, the surfaces need to be clean, dry, structurally sound and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

• Any old, flaking and substandard paint will need to be removed either by sanding or with the use of a paint scraper
• Further precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces, such as the use of a dust mask, as they may contain harmful levels of lead
• In the presence of organic growth, such as mould, fungal, algal or lichen growths, then an antifungal wash should be used
• Wash the surface to remove any dirt, grease and dusty or powdery residues. If patches of oil or grease exist, then use a suitable detergent, rinse clean and wait for the area to dry
• If required, use a damp lint free cloth to rub down surfaces to remove any dust and then wipe clean
• If required, place masking tape along the edges of the application area to help maintain a straight clean edge

Please Note: Siroflex SX Instant Paintable Caulk

• Is not suitable for continuous water immersion areas or places with a high moisture content, such as bathrooms or kitchens
• Do not use with PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, neoprene and bituminous substrates

Always produce a test area prior to the application to assess product suitability and the final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tube at all times.

• Open the tube by cutting the cap off the top of the screw part of the tube with a sharp knife
• Attach the supplied nozzle to the tube
• Place the tube into a skeleton gun
• Apply Siroflex SX Instant Paintable Caulk into the gap or joint, ensuring a good solid fill
• Always tool using a spatula or a wetted stick within 5 minutes of application
• If masking tape has been used, then remove the masking tape within 10 minutes of application
• Uncured sealant can be cleaned off with water
