Sikkens Cetol Novatop. A flexible, durable high build woodstain designed for the protection and decoration of exterior joinery such as wooden window frames and doors.
This product system utilises a high solids, low solvent technology, one-coat finish for use over Sikkens Cetol Novatech, giving a flexible weather-resistant semi-gloss finish.
Substrate should be treated with one coat of Sikkens Cetol Novatech prior to application. This ensures even application and coverage with the best possible bond to minimise chances of cracking and peeling.
Ensure that timber surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free from surface dust, dirt, wax and grease. The moisture content should not exceed 18% prior to coating.
Do not apply if there is a risk of rain, or when air / substrate temperatures are below 5℃ or above 30℃ during application or drying periods. Protect from frost and rain until dry. Failure to meet these requirements may adversely affect the drying, visual quality and durability of the finish.
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Sikkens Cetol Novatop is ready for use straight from the tin and does not require thinning. Stir thoroughly before and during use to ensure a consistent finish.
For best results, it is recommended that the Cetol Novatech/Novatop system is re-applied every 2-3 years.
