Overview
Ronseal Fence Life Plus is Ronseal's toughest and most versatile fence and shed treatment. It protects against rain, frost, snow and it wont grey in the sun. It can be used on rough sawn and smooth planed sheds and fences and it lasts for up to five years.
Please note: Ronseal Fence Life Plus should not be used on decking or garden furniture.

Surfaces should be cleaned with warm water, detergent and a stiff brush. Make sure that all mould or algae is removed and rinse substrate well. For the best results, previous treatments should be removed or well weathered.
If coating damp wood, ensure the wood has been drying for at least 5 hours prior to application.

Always do a test area before starting any project to check product suitability and final finish. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
The treatment can't be applied in the rain, it needs to be a warm dry day with temperatures above 10°C. Cold weather will stop it from properly drying and might wash off.
Ronseal Fence Life Plus can be applied with a Ronseal Fence Life Brush, or can also be spray applied with the Ronseal Pump Sprayer.
- For brush application apply a generous amount of Fence Life plus to your brush
- Apply a thick coat. If you notice drips, brush them in
- For spray application pour the Fence Life plus into the tank
- Pump up your sprayer or turn it on and start spraying. Use long, sweeping horizontal arm movements
- Move along the full width of the fence panel, drop down and do the same again
- Overlap each pass by 50% for proper coverage
- Leave four hours for the first coat to dry. Assess the fence to see if you need to apply another coat

If you notice any spots of damage on your wood, simply apply another coat to protect it.

How much added water is needed for spraying (in a Wagner)?
When using the Ronseal spray system, the product is ready to use straight form the container without diluting down. For confirmation using a different machine, refer to Ronseal as the manufacturer for more information.

Stain was wasy to apply and easy to clean with soapy water good coverage and happy with colour

Very good it covers well and is easy to spray
It is thick to start with but it sprays very well and brushes on very well.
It is best to stir it well before using. A smaller container is needed to lift out the
product to fill another item.

A little on the thick side but sprays with a wider nozzle and higher pressure.

Excellent quality, Colour variable
This fence paint was great quality and easy to apply. I used a combination of brushes and the Ronseal sprayer. Coverage was good, two coats were needed.
Now here’s the strange thing, I chose “Willow” because I love the dark green look. We’ve recently moved to this house, and all the fences are painted a red cedar colour, which I dislike.
Anyway, after two coats, the fence is battleship grey! I think it must be down to the underlying colour, because the previous owners left a large plastic planter, and had painted it light blue. I painted it with Willow and that has come out the correct colour!
The grey looks OK, so will keep it (it took ages to do)
I must add, the packaging was superb and all recyclable. Well done for that.

The paint is very thin and took 4 coats to cover properly to give a solid colour but looks a nice colour eventually
I would prefer this paint to be thicker so fewer coats would be required.

Good Coverage Well Packaged Parcel
This fence/shed paint was easy to apply and emitted no odours. It easily washed out of clothing when splashed. It gave good coverage.
I’d have given it five stars if the colour was closer to the illustrations, although that could possibly be due to what I was painting.
To expand, We’ve recently bought this house and I really hated the red cedar coloured fences (and there are a LOT of them!) Even after 2-3 coats, it appears like Slate Grey, not green at all. However, I also painted a flower pot that had been painted pale blue and that looks the correct green shade.
Just be aware that if your surface is already painted a reddish tone like mine, it may come out greyish!
