Overview

Overview

Back

Ronseal 6 Year Anti-Mould Paint uses an advanced formula specifically designed to be used in areas of high humidity and condensation where mould can rapidly develop. Provides protection against all common forms of mould (including black mould). It is easy to apply, with an easy wipe clean, durable finish.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

To get the best results, ensure all sources of damp, including structural, plumbing faults and rising damp, are repaired prior to treatment. Surfaces should be clean, free from dust and loose material and completely dry.

Newly plastered walls

For recently plastered walls or ceilings, need to be left to dry for seven days. You will then need to seal the plaster before using the Anti Mould Paint.

Previously painted walls

  • Any mould should be removed with Ronseal 3-in-1 Mould Killer
  • You should not try and sand the mould off the wall otherwise you risk spreading the spores
  • Sand off any flaking paint so you have a smooth surface ready for painting

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Ensure the room is above 10°C. Open doors and windows for ventilation and cover any areas you don't want to get paint on.

Please note: If using to seal bare surfaces, thin the paint by 10% with clean water

  1. Stir the paint thoroughly before use
  2. Apply with a good quality paint brush, roller
  3. Touch dry in 1 - 2 hours
  4. Allow 4 hours between coats
  5. When covering strong colours extra coats may be required
  6. Allow a minimum of 24 hours for the paint to fully dry before subjecting the room to condensation
