Overview

Overview

Back

Polyvine Stone and Brick Protector is a water-based masonry protector and water-repellent barrier that penetrates into the substrate to stop the ingress of moisture, grease, oils and acid. Suppresses mould, fungal growth and the formation of salts on masonry and other surfaces. Contains UV filters to help reduce colour fade and retain the appearance of the finish.

Ideal for water-proofing stone, plaster, brick, slate, flagstones, exposed stone walls and much more.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

Ensure that surfaces to be coated are clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, grease, wax, polish and any other surface contaminants. To ensure successful treatment, Polyvine Stone and Brick Protector should be applied to porous substrates only.

Please note: A chemical reaction could take place when in contact with glass, glazed surfaces, lead or aluminium. Take care to cover these materials before application of Stone and Brick Protector. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water immediately.

Application

Application

Back

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Stone and Brick protector is ready for use in the container and should not be diluted. Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake.

Apply only by brush, spray or roller. Typically for application to masonry, brickwork or stone, one coat will be sufficient.

Cleaning Equipment

Application equipment can be cleaned using soap and water before the product dries. Wipe any excess off surfaces with a damp, lint-free cloth. Any dried deposits will need a paint stripper to remove them.
