Polyvine Interior Extreme Varnish is an ultra tough, water based polyurethane finish developed to protect interior wood surfaces exposed to heavy use. It provides outstanding resistance to heat, water, stains and abrasion, making it ideal for kitchen worktops, furniture, doors, cabinets and trim.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease, wax, polish and any other surface contamination before application.
Bare or New WoodAlways carry out a test area before starting your project to confirm compatibility and final appearance. Follow the instructions on the container at all times.
Polyvine Interior Extreme Varnish should not be applied over uncured oil based paints, as this may cause discolouration. When applying over emulsion or latex paint, underlying stains may become visible. If this occurs, use a suitable stain block primer before varnishing.
Clean brushes, rollers and spray equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water. Remove splashes while still wet using a damp, lint free cloth. Dried residues may require a suitable paint remover.
Surfaces finished with Polyvine Interior Extreme Varnish can be cleaned using a soft, lint free cloth lightly dampened with water. Avoid soaking the surface or using abrasive pads, harsh household cleaners or strong detergents, as these may affect the appearance of the finish over time.
Polyvine Interior Extreme Varnish is touch dry in approximately 45 minutes and can normally be recoated after around 2 hours. It reaches full cure in approximately 16 hours at average room temperature conditions.
