Polyvine Acrylic Colourant is a water-based colourant made from the finest ingredients and organic pigments, offering superior depth of colour. The concentrates can be used with a vast range of water-based products, such as: varnish, stain, emulsion, scumble glaze, masonary paint, tile grout, cement and adhesive. Its versatility means it can be used on all water-based projects around the home and is perfect for use with any water-based scenery decoration projects in the theatre and film industry.

These pigments can be mixed with other colours in the range to achieve 1,000's of new shades.

Ensure that surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free from dirt, dust, grease, wax, polish and any other surface contaminants.

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability, colour and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

  1. Shake the product thoroughly before use, ensuring product is mixed well
  2. Use a suitable container to mix colours in, if needed
  3. With a concentrated pigment it is advised to add it by minimum amounts to achieve the required colour
  4. Wipe off any excess colourant as you go with a clean, lint-free cloth
  5. Polyvine Acrylic Colourant should be added to the chosen water-based product up to a maximum of 10% by weight

Maximum mixing amounts

3-5% Transparent and clear lacquers, transparent paints, glazes, wood stains and waxes etc
3% Silicate and silicone paints and coatings

Please Note: For the best colour consistency do not mix batch numbers, unless creating a new shade.

Cleaning Equipment

Application equipment can be cleaned using soap and water. Once cleaned, allow to dry naturally.
