Osmo Interior Wood Filler can be used for a wide range of repair and renovation projects. Unlike most wood fillers, Osmo filler can be easily sanded at any time after drying - usually within 30 minutes.

Please Note:

  • The Natural / Clear variation of this product is not a clear translucent filler, but rather a neutral (cream-like) colour that can be more easily stained if required.
  • The 100g size are supplied in a tube, whereas the 250g are supplied in a jar

How To Apply Osmo Interior Wood Filler

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

  1. Apply Osmo Wood Filler with a wood filler knife or other tool to form a smooth finish over the damaged area
  2. When the filler is dry, sand the filled area and the surrounding wood
  3. It's important to ensure that all traces of filler are sanded from the area immediately surrounding the repair area as this may affect the final finish
  4. For large, deep holes, it may be necessary to fill the hole in stages by layering the wood filler and allowing it to dry before applying the next layer
  5. Follow this process 2 or 3 times depending on the size of the hole until the filler is level with the surrounding wood

Finishing

Finishing

Once dry, Osmo Interior Wood Filler can be overcoated with a suitable wood oil, wax or stain.

I want a filler that I can use in a joint between 2 sheets of plywood and then stain it all light oak. Would there be a colour difference between wood?

Always select the colour of filler based on the colour of the wood. You can also mix the shades together to create your own unique colour. The Osmo Interior Wood Filler may accept stains differently to the surrounding wood as it will be slightly less porous. Tests areas are essential to assess the final result.

Can I use the Osmo Filler on teak?

Absolutely, the Osmo Interior Filler can be applied to both hardwoods and softwoods.

How do I know what is the best colour to match my floor?

Colours can be difficult when looking at screens. You can get in touch by calling us on 01303 213838 and we can send a real life photograph of the colours next to each other so you can get a better understanding of how they appear.

You can also intermix the colours together to create your own unique shade. Many of our customers find this helpful if they are colour matching and they are in-between two shades.

Is the Osmo Interior Wood Filler suitable for kitchen worktops?

Absolutely, as it is non-toxic and water-based, this product is ideal for kitchen work surfaces where a filler is needed.

Great Producr
This arrived on time and in good condition. I used it to fine-finish the laminate floor I’d just installed. The colour was close but by adding a little shoe dye I found the perfect match without altering the texture of the filler

Quality
Great interior (water based) filler - works a treat with Osmo Polyx Oil. Great for small fill areas, nail holes and knots, sands well and takes the polyx oil tint well leaving a professional looking finish

Good to use
Takes a while to mix with water as it is quite firm from the pot. Once mixed it is smooth and easy to apply, a good colour-match for pine and sands nicely.
