Overview

Overview

Back

Osmo Decking Cleaner is a highly effective cleaning concentrate suitable for all types of untreated and oiled decking boards.

To restore the colour of wood that has turned grey / silver over time, we recommend the use of Osmo Wood Reviver Gel.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

Decking boards to be cleaned should be free from loose dirt, debris, leaves and twigs. Sweep the decked area with a stiff broom or brush to remove all loose matter before cleaning.

Application

Application

Back

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Mixing Guidelines

Add Osmo Decking Cleaner to water for mopping. The mix of cleaner to water depends on the amount of soiling on the surface of the wood. For a weak concentration, mix 1 part cleaner to 25 parts water; for a very strong concentration of cleaner, mix 1 part cleaner with 1 part water. Any amount between these values can be used as required, i.e 5:1, 10:1, 15:1 etc.

How to Clean Decking

  1. Clean along the wood grain with a stiff broom or decking scrubber, such as Osmo Decking Cleaning Brush
  2. After cleaning the wood deck, rinse with clean water and allow the surface to dry

Please Note: Avoid direct contact of Osmo Decking Cleaner with plants and garden ornaments.

Aftercare

Back

For general maintenance of garden decking, sweep decking boards with a stiff broom or decking brush to remove any loose dirt or debris, and treat with Osmo Decking Cleaner as and when required.

Ineffective
Was not impressed with this product. Found it had very little effect on my decking, even applying it with the Osmo brush.

Ok
Even using this a lot of scrubbing by hand was needed, and a lot of rinsing. I hate housework.

Great deck cleaner
It’s done a great job on our deck that was in very poor condition. It was hard work though, scrubbing on hands & knees

Worked Well
Used a stiff brush and this cleaner to remove the grime, and there was a lot of it, from my decking. Once dry you can see a big difference.
