Overview

Overview

Back

Liberon Ring Remover will remove most white water marks and heat marks from most highly polished surfaces, including French polishes, lacquers, varnishes and modern hard finishes.

Please Note: White marks made by water or heat on waxed surfaces may be removed using Woodleys Wax and Polish Remover. Dark marks made by water or heat indicate damage to the wood. In this case, the finish may need to be completely removed with a suitable paint stripper or varnish remover.

Preparation

Preparation

Back

Ensure that wood to be treated is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and any other surface contaminants.

Application

Application

Back

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

  1. Shake well before use.
  2. Apply Liberon Ring Remover with a clean, lint-free cotton cloth and rub vigorously in a circular motion over the mark, going with the grain, until the mark is removed
  3. Buff with a clean, dry cotton cloth, then wax or polish as normal
  4. For badly marked surfaces, Ring Remover may be applied using Liberon Ultra Fine (0000) Steel Wool and then buffed with a cotton cloth

Please Note: This product may produce a shiny surface when used on matt or satin finishes. If this occurs, gently matt back the surface with Ultra Fine (0000) Steel Wool and re-wax with a suitable wood wax .

Not tried yet
I'm hoping this product will work as other brands have not.

With some 'elbow grease' it worked wonders
I used it to remove some water stains from a pine clad ceiling in a conservatory, used with a fine de-nib pad and some effort the 'white' water stains were virtually removed. Once dried and a coat of Danish Oil was applied the ceiling was transformed.

Used to remove ring marks from table
Worked well after several applications and almost disappeared after application of Danish Oil. Used with fine steel wool.
