Dulux Trade Super Grip Primer has been formulated to offer excellent adhesion for a range of interior and exterior surface, including ceramic tiles, melamine, glass, anodised aluminium and more. Surfaces such as melamine and powder-coated metal will need to be lightly abraded to provide a 'key' before applying the primer.

For the best results, ensure surfaces to be primed are clean, dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry) and free of dirt, grease or wax before treating.
- Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces with a suitable abrasive, then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth or vacuum to remove all traces of sanding dust
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead
- Light abrade the surface if needed

Always do a test area before starting any project and follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C.
- Stir the undercoat thoroughly before and periodically during use
- Apply a single, even coat of Dulux Trade Super Grip Primer with a good quality synthetic paint brush, microfibre roller, airless or conventional spray system
- Allow 4 to 6 hours for the primer to dry
- Follow up with 1 or 2 coats of a chosen top coat
Thinning
- Normal use (not to be exceeded): Thinning not required
- Conventional spray application: Add up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint
- Airless spray application: Thinning not required
Please note: If applying the primer in areas of frequent or heavy condensation or where there is direct contact with water - such as bathrooms, a solvent based finish must be used.

Once fully dry, over-coat the primed surface with a suitable top coat.
