Dulux Trade High Performance Floor Paint

Dulux Trade High Performance Floor Paint is a strong and durable, floor paint. A two-part system comprising of a base paint and activator. Mix both parts together to form a high performance, epoxy floor paint, suitable for heavy commercial environments. Provides excellent scuff and abrasion resistance on both interior and exterior metal and concrete floors.

Please Note: This product is part of a two-part system and must be used in conjunction with Dulux Trade High Performance Floor Paint Activator.

For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

1. Using a stiff brush, remove any loose material from new surfaces
2. Remove all loose and defective paint, dirt, grease or wax
3. Where necessary, use a suitable oil or grease remover
4. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
5. Ensure all surfaces, particularly new, are fully dry

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the container at all times.

Spray application is not recommended.

The floor paint and activator come supplied with the correct combined ratio for 5 litres of Dulux Trade High Performance Floor Paint. Does not need thinning, unless for sealing new or bare surfaces - thin up to 10% with clean water.

1. Add the entire tin of floor paint to the tin of activator and mix using a Jiffy paddle in an electric drill
2. Mix thoroughly for at least 5 minutes until smooth and even
3. Leave paint mixture to stand for 5 minutes before application
4. Apply 1 to 2 coats, using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
5. Once started, continue the application with no breaks, cutting in where needed
6. Re-coat with 7 days for optimal adhesion properties

Application brushes and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with warm, soapy water and wiped dry.

Please Note: Do not mix part units, as incorrectly mixed material will affect performance and may cause failure or discolouration.

Once the activator has been mixed with the floor paint, it has a usable open time of up to 1 hour.
