Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen Emulsion Paint

Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen is a water-based emulsion designed for bathroom walls and ceilings, providing excellent steam and moisture resistance. It guarantees a '5 year' protection against mould, using Mouldtec formulation. Available in a wide range of attractive Dulux paint colours.

For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and free from dirt, dust or any other surface contaminants.

1. Remove all loose and defective paint with a paint scraper, by sanding, or with a paint stripper
2. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead
3. Where necessary, wash the surface to remove dirt, grease and powdery or dusty residues
4. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
5. Any surface defects should be filled with an appropriate filler
6. If required, rub down surfaces and then wipe off with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust
7. Seal all surfaces that remain powdery after thorough preparation with an appropriate plaster sealer

Remove any pre-existing mould and fungi using an appropriate mould and mildew cleaner.

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep any aquariums and plants away from the environment where the product is being applied.

For best colour consistency, purchase sufficient paint for each project including enough for touch-in at a later time.

1. Stir the paint thoroughly before and periodically during use
2. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen using a good quality synthetic brush or microfibre roller
3. Allow 6 hours drying time between coats
4. Allow 24 hours to fully dry before subjecting surfaces to steam and moisture
5. For significant colour change, further coats may be required

Please note: For Health & Safety reasons spray application is not recommended when using fungicidal paints.

To maintain the finish, simply apply a fresh coat of Dulux Easycare Bathroom Soft Sheen paint, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Easycare is designed for plastered walls and ceilings only; for timber we would recommend Dulux Once Satinwood or even Crown Easyclean Bathroom Emulsion.
