Application

Application

Back

Always make a test area before the application to judge the suitability of the product. Follow the manufacturer's instructions at all times.

Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Certain colours may require additional coats to obtain complete obliteration. Newly painted doors and windows should not be closed until the paint is fully dry. Crown Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat can be used as an alternative though the finish application characteristics will be limited.

  • Stir well before and during use
  • Application can be performed with either a medium pile roller or a good quality synthetic brush
  • To assist application on porous substrates the surface may be dampened slightly
  • Maintain a wet edge
  • On timber lay off in the direction of the grain
  • Avoid excessive de-nibbing in-between coats
  • For airless spray dilution may be required. For further information follow the spray manufacturer's guidelines
  • Under normal drying conditions touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoat after 4-6 hours. Ensure previous coat is fully dry before application
  • At low temperatures or high humidity drying times may be extended
