Overview

Crown Solo One Coat Gloss is a solvent-based gloss paint for interior and exterior wood and metal.

Preparation

Ensure that all surfaces to be painted are clean, dry and free from dust, dirt and other surface contaminants.

If necessary, move or cover furniture or areas that are not to be painted
Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly sanded to provide a sound key for painting
Remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuum cleaner or slightly damp, lint-free cloth
When painting new wood or metal, prime the surface first with Crown Undercoat and allow to dry
Keep rooms well ventilated to reduce paint odour and drying times

Application

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.

Do not apply Crown Solo Gloss in damp or humid conditions or in rooms with a temperature less than 10°C

Paint only requires stirring if a surface film has formed.

Apply Solo One Coat Gloss with a good quality synthetic paint brush
Load brushes generously and apply evenly and thickly, finishing in the direction of the wood grain
In warm, dry conditions, paint can dry rapidly and over brushing should be avoided to avoid brush marks
Allow 6 hours for paint to fully dry

Aftercare

Regular Cleaning

For regular cleaning, gently wipe wood or metal surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth. For light scuffs and marks, slightly dampen the cloth first.

Maintenance

To maintain the finish if it becomes worn over time, simply apply a fresh coat of Crown Solo One Coat Gloss, following the Preparation and Application instructions above.

Excellent

I have been using Crown Solo one coat gloss for a number of years and never been disappointed with it yet. Easy to apply, hard wearing and maintains a nice bright white colour over the years. I have tried other manufacturers one coat gloss but Crown is the best by a mile.

Very good quality

Very good quality. One coat is enough for repainting. Don't smell. Could dry quicker, but in overall- satisfying.

Great product IF used correctly

If you mix this before use it will take 48 hours to dry and will be very runny, if you don't mix it, it takes about 10 hrs to be touch dry in cold temps. I only mixed it to add 2 tble spoons of black to prevent it going yellow which all oil based glosses do if you don't, i should have then let it settle over night after mixing but didn't, so the first time took ages to dry, 2nd time was just fine.
