Ensure that the wood surface to be waxed is clean, dry and free of any dust, dirt or other surface contaminants. For best results, old finishes should be removed prior to waxing.
- Fill any gaps or holes in the wood surface with Colron Wax Repair Sticks or other suitable wood filler
- For the removal of old paint and varnish coatings, use a suitable varnish or paint stripper
- For the removal of old wax finishes we recommend the use of Colron Wax Remover
- To revitalise stripped interior wood use Colron Wood Reviver
- Prior to applying the wax, you may wish to apply Colron Refined Wood Dye if a specific colour change is desired

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times.
- Apply Colron Refined Finishing Wax to the wood surface with a Colron Craftsmens Cloth
- Allow 15 minutes to dry, and recoat if desired
- When touch dry, buff along the wood grain with extra fine grade steel wool or alternatively with Colron Craftsmens Cloths

I want a Matt finish. Will this make my table shinny?
When it comes to wax, the more you buff it, the shinier it gets. For a flatter, natural matt finish buff it less.
