Overview

Bona Oil Refresher makes the maintenance of oiled wooden floors easy. Simply apply onto the wood surface and wipe away. Through reinforced polyurethane, Bona Oil Refresher gives durable protection and a new high gloss lustre to dull oiled floors.

Please note:

  • Once an oiled floor has been treated with Bona Oil Refresher, it cannot be re-oiled. Any future maintenance must be done with this product. To revert to an oiled finish that can be maintained with a floor oil, floors must be sanded back to bare wood and re-oiled.
  • Not suitable for waxed floors
  • Not compatible with the previous Bona Oil Refresher as this will cause a streaky effect

Ensure that floors to be treated are clean, dry and free from surface dust, dirt, grit and other contaminants.

  1. Clean floors thoroughly with Bona Wood Floor Cleaner and allow to dry
  2. Do not use over any floor that has been treated with soft wax, as wax residues may produce an uneven sheen
  3. If uncertain, perform a test before use

Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product performance, suitability and end result. Follow the manufacturer's instructions at all times.

Ensure normal room temperature of 18-25°C. This product is ready to use, do not dilute. Shake bottle thoroughly before use.

  1. Apply the Oil Refresher onto a small section of the floor and spread evenly with a Bona Microfiber Cleaning Pad attached to a Bona Mop, working in the direction of the wood grain
  2. Continue section by section until the whole floor has been treated

Floors can receive foot traffic after 2 hours but avoid heavy traffic and replacement of furniture / rugs for the first 12 hours.

Cleaning Equipment

Clean tools with water directly after use. Dried material can be removed with cellulose thinners.

Regular Cleaning

  • Floors treated with Bona Oil Refresher can be cleaned with Bona Cleaner for Oiled Floors and a Bona Cleaning Pad or Microfibre Floor Mop. Alternatively, the Bona Oiled Floor Spray Mop can be used. Maintenance
  • When the floor is starting to show signs of wear and needs freshening up, clean the floor and apply a new layer of Bona Oil Refresher. For removal of refresher build up, the surface must be sanded.
